About the Webinar Host

Michael Wharton is the Vice President of Engineering at KUNGFU.AI and is an expert in computer vision, with a particular focus on remote sensing. Michael studied aerospace engineering and computer science at the University of Texas at Austin, after which he spent five years at SpaceX working on test systems for flight hardware. More recently, he worked at Applied Research Laboratories where he developed deep learning algorithms for processing data from terrestrial, airborne, and space-based sensing platforms. Over the last six years, Michael has contributed to a vast array of production-level AI systems focused on computer vision, NLP, and predictive analytics.
